TOURING

The Magic of Music - - Around the Globe

The more accomplished levels of the chorus perform throughout the United States as well as internationally. Touring presents students with once-in-a-lifetime opportunities for cultural and educational experiences far from home, working with renowned clinicians, and sharing their love of creating beautiful music with children of other choral organizations around the globe.

NASHVILLE - LEVEL WC4

Heritage Festival

WC3 & EC3

Level 4 generally tours every year, with an International trip being the focus every other year. Our international reputation has led to invitations and audition opportunities to perform in such locations as Carnegie Hall, Canterbury Cathedral, La Madeleine in Paris, and the Vatican. Frequent invitations to work with world-renowned directors create unity within the chorus, and inspire the students to achieve superior standards of excellence in performing our challenging repertoire.

During the summer of 1999, Level 4 attended a festival in Canterbury, England. Their pre- and post-tour itinerary included Oxford, London and Paris. In the spring of 2000 they performed at American Choral Directors Association Western Regional Convention.

Level 3 tours within California, and occasionally nationally and internationally. In the summer of 1999, Level 3 was the “Guest of Honor” and demonstration chorus at the Choral Music Experience Institute with Dr. Doreen Rao in Victoria, British Columbia. And in the spring of 2000, Level 3 was invited to participate in a festival culminating with a performance at Carnegie Hall under the direction of Francisco Nunez with the New England Symphonic Ensemble.

Even the training choruses (Levels 1 and 2) enjoy a “mini-tour”, traveling to area schools to perform at assemblies - - an introduction to the rigors of touring, getting along with others, and building stamina.
