Contra Costa Children’s Chorus is a professional, non-profit organization funded by student tuition, ticket sales, honoraria, contributions, grants and fund-raisers. The essential ongoing fundraising programs listed below supplement this outstanding program:
Mandatory fund-raiser –
Winter and Spring Concerts
Each semester we have two concerts of our own, the Winter Concert and the Spring Concert. These are wonderful and inspiring concerts with each level performing and a mass-performance of all levels. Our audience is approximately 1000 at each performance and tends to sell out. As has been our policy for many years, each family is required to purchase 5 tickets each semester to these concerts. These tickets will be paid for in September and January and be available for pick up approximately 6 weeks before the concert. By this time it will be determined which choruses perform on which date and extra tickets can also be purchased. You will be charged for these tickets whether or not you attend the concert. Do not be afraid to ask teachers, neighbors or anyone with a love for music and children. These concerts are very professional, and the audience is guaranteed to be touched and amazed at the accomplishments of the choristers and their music.

Each chorister family must sell 10 poinsettias with the proceeds going to the chorus. Each Poinsettia will sell for
$10.00.
After your quota of 10 poinsettias has been met, the profit for any additional poinsettias sold will go into an individual account for the chorister to be held for
tuition, touring and camp. The money will stay in your individual account as long as you are a chorus member. If you leave the chorus, any money will revert to the chorus.
Our hope is to sell to businesses, corporations, hospitals, and malls. If you make a large sale to a corporation, etc, you will take the credit (after your
10) the first year. The chorus will contact them directly the next year and there will be a percentage going to the chorus. Each year that percentage will increase. It is hoped that ultimately these buyers instead of parents selling and buying poinsettias will fund the fundraiser.
The poinsettias are a good quality, very full and long lasting. Everyone has been happy with them in the past.

Optional fund-raiser –
e-Scrip
30 percent of your order goes to general chorus funds, and 70 percent is credited to your individual account. You may keep this account as long as the student remains in chorus. It may be used for camp or tour only. Any remaining balance in your Scrip account when the student leaves CCCC reverts back to the general chorus fund. The scrip you purchase on your chorus day will be delivered to chorus the following week. Your Scrip check must be a separate check made out to CCCC. Beth Stutzman
is our Scrip Chairperson. She will give you a record of your account with
each filled order, or you can contact Beth at 510-792-4114, Fax: , Email:

Other Optional fund-raisers
Some students raise money for tour by selling candy, wrapping paper, coupon books, extra poinsettias, etc. A parent volunteer organizes the project and keeps track of each chorister’s individual account.
Grants / Donors / Patrons
We research grants and solicit corporations and individuals in the community for donations. In the past, we have received grants enabling us to perform our Opera for disadvantaged schools, commission original works and meet some of our organizational needs. We have received many individual donations for the purchase of equipment or special interests such as our newly acquired piano and drums for our multicultural music. Many companies will match or double your tax-deductible donation. We are a non-profit organization of 501(c) (3) status. Tax ID #680065565. Learn more about becoming a CCCC Patron.
